For a long time, our bread has been shared through farmers markets, local store shelves, and word of mouth throughout Lake Country. Many of you have discovered us through a friend, a Saturday morning at the market, or by spotting one of our loaves at a local shop. However you found us, we’re grateful you’re here.
This new website was created to make it easier for you to stay connected with everything happening at the cottage.
Here, you’ll be able to view our weekly menu, explore seasonal sourdough flavors, see where our bread is stocked around Lake Country, and reserve your favorite loaves before they sell out. We’ll also be sharing stories from the bakery through our Journal: From the Cottage, where you can get a behind-the-scenes look at our baking process, community partnerships, and the rhythms that make this little cottage bakery special.
While the website is new, the heart behind The Crusty Cottage remains the same.
Every loaf is still baked in small batches using traditional sourdough methods, long fermentation, and simple, high-quality ingredients. It takes time, patience, and care—but that’s exactly what makes sourdough so special.
Our mission has always been about more than bread. It’s about bringing people together around the table, supporting our local community, and sharing something made with intention.
Whether you’re visiting us at local farmers markets, picking up a loaf from one of our nine store partners, or ordering online for the first time, we’re honored to be a small part of your table.
