Our Story Begins in Our Home

It all began in a flour-dusted kitchen with a simple desire:

To bake something meaningful.

Pregnant with their second child, Savannah wanted something she could confidently feed her family.

What started as homemade sourdough shared with family and friends quickly grew into something bigger — a calling to serve Christ's people through food made slowly, intentionally, and with gratitude.

For us, baking isn't just about recipes.

It's about stewardship. It's about hospitality. It's about using what we've been given to bless others.

Meet the Owners

Savannah Cathey

As a wife and mom of 2, Savannah is the heart and hands behind the bakery.

She deeply cares about what goes into every single item. If it’s not served on their home table, it won’t be served on the menu. Savannah has not always baked bread, though she has always baked candies, cookies, cakes, etc. since her great grandmother taught her at age 12.

“My great grandmother really showed me what true from-scratch, home cooking southern food was. I have always loved to cook.”

While pregnant with their second child, Savannah realized that there was more to food and in order to provide her kids with exceptional nutrition, she was going to have to learn a few things. ENTER THE SOURDOUGH ERA.

“The Lord has blessed us. He has created all of this out of nothing, and He continues to open the doors for us to reach His people.”

JED Cathey

The answer is usually “Yes, dear.” As it turns out, that answer comes with a few unexpected job titles. He never imagined he would one day wear the hats of “cookie baker” or “market man,” but he happily jumps in wherever he’s needed when he’s not working in his full-time role as a branch manager in the landscaping industry.

Jed grew up in Morgan County and returned after college to work on local golf courses—yes, including Reynolds. Lake Country has always been home, and the community here feels more like family.

For him, the bakery is about more than just bread. It’s about supporting his wife’s passion and building something meaningful together.

What started as her vision has become a true family effort, and one they hope will continue growing for generations to come.

Our Foundation

Vision

To magnify Christ by touching thousands — together.

That may begin with one loaf, one neighbor, one table at a time — but we believe impact grows when it's rooted in purpose.

Mission

Love God. Trust God. Serve people. Give with gratitude.

This isn't just printed somewhere — it shapes how we bake, how we treat customers, and how we give back.

What We Value

We believe business can reflect character — and we aim for ours to reflect these values daily.

God

He is our source and foundation.

Family

The table is where connection begins.

Integrity

Honest ingredients. Honest business.

Generosity

Bread was meant to be shared.

Forgiveness

Grace in our work and our relationships.

Growth

Always learning, always improving.

Why Sourdough?

Sourdough isn’t rushed. It’s like an old soul.

The natural fermentation process develops flavor, improves texture, breaks down the harshness of the grains for easier digestibility, keeps the natural nutrients created by the sourdough without stripping it with unnecessary preservatives and additives, and creates a loaf that feels nourishing in more ways than one.

We let time do its work — because good things are worth waiting for.

Psalm 104:14–15 reminds us:

“He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate — bringing forth food from the earth: wine that gladdens human hearts, oil to make their face shine, and bread that sustains the heart.”

"Bread has always been more than food.
It nourishes. It gathers. It sustains.

And we are honored to bake it."
